Ah, Holland, land of speedskating, land of long, ice cold journeys over frozen lakes, rivers and canals. That is, if the winter gets cold enough the freeze the water. But when it does, the nation can be found on the ice, united in skating. And then, after a few hours of pushing the blades over the ice, there's nothing better than sit down with a cup of hot choco and a stroopwafel. Or koek en zopie, as we call it.
